This documentary is a carefully planned and beautifully filmed composition of 8 independent portraits to show the true heart of South Africa: people and their everyday lives, beliefs and hopes.
Nobel Prize Desmond Tutu named South Africa the Rainbow Nation in 1994 at the end of Apartheid to describe the wondrous diversity of its races and in the hope they they would live together in peace from then onwards.
The film's very personal and surprising stories will remind the public that lives such as these will be taking place at the same time as the FIFA World Cup in 2010.
Each chapter is told in the words of its own main character, giving it an original and vibrant feel.
As Nelson Mandela said when the tournament's organisation was awarded to South Africa: 'The World Cup will help unify people: if there is one thing on this planet that has the power to bind people together, it is soccer.'.
